For club pilots

Aircraft & Part Sales — how it works

Small flat fees keep the board useful. Verified club members only — to list and to buy — so this stays pilots helping pilots, not a shopfront. RCSpotter only introduces two people. You arrange money, pickup, and shipping yourselves. We do not take a cut of the sale.

Why a fee — and why the club gate

The fee is not a cut of your sale. We do not hold money or run a shop. €2 for an aircraft listing (or €2 per parts pack) helps pay for the board — hosting, photos, chat/intro tools, moderation — and makes spam expensive.

Only active members of a verified club can list and contact sellers. Real clubs vouch for people who fly at fields. That is our main anti-shop design: same gate on both sides, plus caps, frozen lots, photos, and a policy tick every time you list. We still cannot promise zero abuse — we do our best to make abuse awkward and costly.

In plain English

  1. One Sales Board with Aircraft and Parts tabs. List whole aircraft from your Hangar (My Aircraft Sales). List spares from Parts → My Part Sales. Browse both on the Sales Board.
  2. Verified + active club membership required to list and to buy (interest / connect).
  3. RCSpotter introduces you. No cart, escrow, shipping, or warranty from us.
  4. Every listing needs a price mode, condition, at least one photo, and handover preference (pickup / ship / both).
  5. You accept the Aircraft & Part Sales Policy every time you publish a listing.

What you list Hangar aircraft only (Hangar + Parts + preflight locked while live) Parts you own (stay spare / in use / vault — sale is a flag)
Photos Aircraft: min 1, max 10. Parts: at least one photo when you publish.
RCSpotter Introduce two pilots. No cut of the sale.

1. Aircraft — whole airframes

List only from your Hangar. Going live locks Hangar edits, Parts on that airframe, and preflight saves for that model until the listing ends. Buyers see a frozen lot. Unlock early (cancel) or let it expire → the ad drops. List again = new €2. No cooldown — the fee is the brake.

Parts that travel with the plane

  1. We show everything on the aircraft spec / allocated list.
  2. You tick what is included in the sale. Unticked items are not in the lot.
  3. Radios and similar shared gear are optional and off by default — tick only if they go with this plane.
  4. You confirm the included list before pay / publish.
  5. Excluded items move to Spare for the lock, but stay tied to this listing (sale-linked spares).
  6. Allocating a sale-linked spare elsewhere permanently removes it from the ad — we warn you first.
  7. If the listing ends unsold, we always ask: restore those spares onto the plane, or keep them as Spare.

On every aircraft listing you also set

  • Price mode: asking price, fixed (non-negotiable), make an offer, or free / giveaway
  • Condition (required)
  • Handover: pickup only, shipping possible (buyer pays), or both
  • Optional: seller can demonstrate flying (local club / agreed field) — off by default
  • Photos: at least one, up to ten
  1. Verified club member → pick Hangar aircraft → tick included parts → photos & details.
  2. Accept policy → pay €2 → live up to 60 days (max 6 live listings).
  3. Other club members show interest → you accept chat → you two arrange the deal.
  4. Mark sold → buyer accepts handover → frozen lot moves to their Hangar. Your logbook stays yours. Stars optional.

2. Parts — spares & gear

€2 buys one pack: five publish slots. Unused slots stay valid about 6 months. Each Publish makes a part SALE LIVE for 60 days (slot not returned when it ends). Max ten packs (fifty live). Same club gate. Introductions only. Browse live parts on Sales Board → Parts.

  1. Tap For sale on a part → SALE DRAFT (stays where it is). Open My Part Sales → set price / condition / handover → Publish (uses one pack slot).
  2. Accept policy → pay pack fee when required → others can show interest and chat in-app.
  3. End listing or mark sold when done. Fitted parts on a Sales Board aircraft stay with that plane lot — do not double-list them here.

What RCSpotter is not

  • Not the seller or the buyer
  • Not payment, escrow, courier, or customs
  • Not a warranty, inspection, title check, or airworthiness sign-off
  • Not responsible for disputes or scams between pilots — we provide tools and reasonable moderation

Full rules: Aircraft & Part Sales Policy (accept every time you list).
