Child Safety Standards
RCSpotter is a platform for the radio-controlled (RC) hobby community. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards explain how we prevent, detect, and respond to such harm on RCSpotter websites, apps, and related services.
1. Zero tolerance
We do not allow any content, conduct, or communication that sexualizes minors, depicts or solicits CSAM, or exploits children. This includes text, images, video, links, profile material, lounge posts, sales listings, chat, and any other user-generated content on RCSpotter.
2. Age and audience
RCSpotter is aimed at the adult and teen RC hobby community. The Services are not directed at children under 16 without appropriate parental involvement where required by law. Where minors may use the Services, a parent or guardian remains responsible for consent and supervision as required by applicable law.
3. How to report
Anyone can report child safety concerns — including suspected CSAM or CSAE — through our in-product contact / helpdesk form:
- Open Contact us (also available from the website and in the RCSpotter app WebView / browser).
- Choose topic Child safety / CSAM report.
- Describe what you saw, where (URL, club, username, listing, or chat if known), and attach screenshots if safe to do so.
You may also email our designated child-safety contact: nfo@ravx.design with subject line “Child safety”.
Sales Board ads and chat also provide report tools for abusive content; child-safety reports should use the Contact topic above so they are prioritised.
4. How we respond
- We review child-safety reports as a priority.
- We may remove content, disable features, warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts.
- We preserve relevant records as needed for investigation and legal obligations.
- Where required by law, we report CSAM / CSAE to the appropriate regional or national authorities and cooperate with lawful requests.
5. Prevention and moderation
We use a mix of user reports, platform moderation (including Sales Board abuse reports), account controls, and terms enforcement. Moderation is best effort; users must not upload or share illegal content. Violating these standards is also a breach of our Terms of Service.
6. Legal compliance
RCSpotter aims to comply with applicable child-safety and CSAM laws in jurisdictions where we operate, including obligations to report to authorities when required. These standards do not create rights beyond those required by law or our Terms.
7. Changes
We may update this page when our practices or legal requirements change. The version date at the top shows the current revision. The published URL https://rcspotter.com/legal/child-safety/ is the canonical public standards page for Google Play and other partners.
